You can submit your photos for the RESTORExchange Photo Gallery by using the submission fields below. Photos are accepted on a rolling basis.

All photos and captions will be archived in the Religion and Environment online Photo Gallery that is available to the public at https://restorexchange.wixsite.com/home/2019-r-e-gallery in connection with the RESTORExchange religion and sustainability database. Submitted photos will be available for public use via a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial 4.0 International license, and will be eligible for inclusion in online books linked to the environmental ethics course ENR 3470 at The Ohio State University: "Religion and Environmental Values in America." Two online books related to the course currently include images from the gallery (Religion and Environmental Values in America, and Emerging Perspectives in Religion and Environmental Values in America). These books are open source and publicly available via The Ohio State University's Affordable Learning Exchange bookshelf.

Enter a photo caption here. Captions should briefly describe the activity or scene in the photo (try to include the 'who, what, when and why' of the photo). Because this is a photo gallery that implies respect and care for creation, you might pay particular attention to commenting on the values underlying the photo - why do you care about the subject depicted in the photo? For example: "Members of ____ congregation work together to restore an urban garden plot as an expression of tending and keeping God's creation"...)

In a nutshell, this next section simply allows you to confirm that the host of the Religion and Environment Photo Gallery (Dr. Gregory Hitzhusen at Ohio State) has permission to use your photos in accord with the CC-BY-NC4.0 license in open-source online textbooks and other teaching and research applications connected to the photo gallery. This does not expand the limits of the creative commons license (CC-BY-NC4.0), but simply makes explicit some of the likely places where your photo might be shared at or by Ohio State. Other viewers of the Gallery will also be free, by virtue of this creative commons license, to share and use your photo (non-commercially) with attribution. Apologies for the "legalese" below. :)

License Agreement (CC-BY-NC4.0): I hereby grant Dr. Gregory Hitzhusen and other instructors of ENR 3470 Religion and Environmental Values in America, and The Ohio State University, other affiliates, licensees, successors and assignees (collectively, “University”) a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual (for the duration of the applicable copyright) license to make use of and make copies of presentation images and text submitted in connection with the Religion and Environment Photo Gallery. This license grants the rights to edit the work and to compile the work in whole or in part with other materials. This work may be incorporated in whole or in part into a complete work in any format. This license includes the rights for permanent archiving and public access, and to make derivative works, provided that the University credits my work by name. This license also grants the rights to make my work and any derivative works and compilations available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC4.0) license. I understand that giving my permission is voluntary and does not alter the copyright or other rights to the work that I might hold. I understand that this license does not prevent me from entering into similar arrangements with other parties or from exercising any rights that I may have in the work. However, I understand that I may need to inform subsequent publishers or others that I have granted this preexisting permission. The rights granted to Dr. Gregory Hitzhusen, other instructors of ENR3470 Religion and Environmental Values in America, and the University may be exercised in all media and formats whether now known or hereafter devised, and include the right to make such modifications as are technically necessary to exercise the rights in other media and formats.
