STAR Materials Registration
 
STAR Read-Aloud Practices are a set of interactive and innovative read-aloud practices designed for educators and parents to encourage young children's attention to print. All materials and research were developed with the support of several externally funded grants, including the United States Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (grant #R305G050057 and grant #R324A080037), the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders (grant #R21DC013599), and an Ohio Department of Education Straight A grant. STAR Read-Aloud Practices were tested in feasibility, pilot, and effectiveness studies, as discussed in such publications as:
