This opportunity is open to degree-seeking undergraduates, graduated undergraduates, degree-seeking master students, and graduated master students at/from OSU. Please read the description of the host companies and proposed internships very carefully.

Have you traveled abroad before and if so, how long for? Please describe briefly your experience abroad (vacation with your family, travel on your own, participation in a group-based or individual study abroad program etc.)

Indicate if you hold a valid US, EU (European Union), or EEA (European Economic Area) passport or another passport from a country for which Norway or Brazil has a no-visa entry policy. Indicate the expiration date on your passport. (e.g., I currently hold a valid US passport which expires on Jan 13, 2026, or I hold a valid passport from Argentina, which is currently on the visa exemption list for Norway and Brazil. My passport is valid until June 1, 2025). Please check that the passport you hold is from a country that has a current visa exemption with the country you are selecting for your internship (Norway and/or Brazil).

If you are a degree-seeking or a graduated undergraduate, describe your major/minor/specialization, which year you are in (if applicable), your GPA, and your date of graduation (if applicable) (e.g., I am in my sophomore year pursuing a major in environmental sciences, with a minor in sustainable business. My current GPA is 3.8 or I am a graduated undergraduate with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Women's studies. My GPA at the time of graduation in Fall 2024 was 3.9).

If you are a degree-seeking or a graduated Master student, indicate the name of your Master program, which year you are, and your GPA. (e.g., I am a master student in Microbiology in my second year and my current GPA is 4.0 or I graduated with a master in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology in Spring 2024, and my GPA at the time of my graduation was 3.85).

The duration of the internship is 3 months (departure May through October 2025). 1) How flexible are you in terms of availability for the internship (for instance, are you only available during the summer months, or can you go any time?) and 2) indicate the company you would prefer to work in and state and rank one other company you would consider if your first choice does not work out. Elaborate on your top choice of company and provide a brief justification for your ranking of the second choice. Please refer to the details about host companies and internship projects.
