Use this form to request that the Fisher EdTech team import your previously-created questions into your CarmenCanvas course. The file you provide MUST be formatted as follows:
First, you develop the exam in whatever program you want, as long as it can be saved as a text file.
If you use Word, avoid using any of Word's auto-formatting (e.g. indenting, auto-numbering, etc.) Auto-formatting will cause problems in the long term.
When you complete developing your exam, save it as a Word (.docx) file and as text (.txt) file.
For automatic grading, most instructors use multiple choice and true/false. Short answer and essay have to be graded manually.
The question format should look like this.
1. What are the Buckeye's team colors?
a. Black and Blue
b. Red and White
*c. Scarlet and Grey
d. Pink and Purple
2. What is the capital of Ohio?
a. Cleveland
b. Lucasville
c. Washington
*d. Columbus
The formatting has to be the same for each of the questions. Don't put a parenthesis after the question number and not after the answers letters. Basically, just be consistent in the formatting.
IMPORTANT:
- The asterisks goes in front of the letter that is the correct answer, not in front of or after the answer and there must be a space between your punctuation mark and the beginning of the question.
- Any images, charts, or graphs will need to be manually added into your questions in Carmen after processing.
If the provided files fail to upload correctly, you will be notified that corrections need to be made.
Please allow for 3 business days for your file to be uploaded to your course(s).
