Thank you for your interest in the Freeman Foundation East Asia Internship Program administered by the East Asian Studies Center at The Ohio State University. This program provides scholarships for undergraduate Ohio State students to pursue internships in Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan through generous funding from the Freeman Foundation. Internships will take place in the summer and must be 6-8 weeks in length. Interns would be expected to work normal working hours (avg. of 40 hours per week). They will not be paid, but the scholarship they will receive should offset most (or all) expenses. This competitive program accepts applications from undergraduate students at Ohio State from all majors who are at least of sophomore standing, have a 3.0 GPA or better, and will return to Ohio State for at least one semester after the internship.
