2025 "Be the Change" Scott P. Hannah Memorial Scholarship
Deadline to Apply July 1, 2025
Everyone can "Be the Change" in their communities as passionately demonstrated by Scott P. Hannah's life of creative service through church and 4-H and as a National Spokesperson for the Great American No Bull Challenge. As a soft-spoken teen, his voice resonated through his creative video work aimed to spread awareness at his high school, throughout his hometown and county and beyond.
His life was cut short by someone he trusted, but his message - You Can Be the Change Too! lives on in those that take his challenge to be the change in your communities. Whether helping an elderly person take care of their home or yard, conducting a charitable drive to provide food, clothing, or supplies for those in need, or standing up for something that violates another's rights, you are helping to sustain Scott's lifelong mission of Being the Change.
In the spirit of "Be the Change", youth in Clark County Ohio that are current High School Seniors or College Freshmen have the opportunity to apply for a $1000 scholarship in his honor and memory. Applicants do not need to be affiliated with 4-H or Jr. Fair to apply.
Requirements:
- Complete this on-line application before July 1, 2025.
- Upload a letter of recommendation from a non-family member involved in the community in this on-line application before July 1, 2025.
- Provide proof of admission to any accredited post-secondary vocational or college program in this on-line application before July 1, 2025.
- Upload a 1-to-3-minute video that demonstrates your efforts and passion for change to You Tube, set to private to view and provide the link in this on-line application before July 1, 2025. The video can take any appropriate medium that shows you "Being the Change". Examples include but are not limited to a music video, documentary, detailed PSA, a dramatization, an interview series, animation, etc.
