Collecting Tributes to Bear Braumoeller

On May 3, 2023, Bear Braumoeller died following a short illness. The Baronov and Timashev Chair in Data Analytics and founder and director of the MESO (Modeling Emergent Social Order) Research Lab, Bear was our colleague in the Political Science Department at the Ohio State University, but he was also our friend and mentor. We miss him dearly.

We have created a virtual memorial wall where the broader political science community can share memories and photos of Bear as a testament to his enormous influence and kindness. Please share below any memories or tributes to Bear that you would like to include.

We recommend your tribute be 75 to 250 words and not longer than 400 words if possible. All appropriate submissions will be posted to the Ohio State Political Science Department's public memorial webpage. This page will be maintained indefinitely but we ask for submissions by May 26th if possible.
