The Byrd Center education and outreach team is looking for Ohio State University students who are interested in a volunteer (climate ambassador) or paid position.
Climate Ambassadors: Students interested in engaging with Byrd Center researchers and the general public during various outreach opportunities are invited to register as a Climate Ambassador. Climate Ambassadors represent the Byrd Center when working with school groups or during programs such as internal events, climate negotiation simulations, public tours, and more. Students must commit to 4-5 programs each semester. This is an unpaid position.
Student Employees: Students who are interested in working at the Byrd Center are invited to submit a resume, cover letter, and 3 references to the Education & Outreach team. Responsibilities include overseeing some day-to-day operations, engaging with climate data, science, and outreach, facilitating events, and assisting with research projects. Students typically commit to 10-15 hours per week and are majoring in a relevant field of study. This is a paid position.
